Introducing the Aspire PockeX Kit, a stealthy AIO that fits your pocket so easily yet provides all the power you would expect from an Aspire Sub Ohm device.
Now available in 4 new Anniversary Edition colours.
Being just a bit shorter than the iPhone 5s, the Aspire PockeX Kit is the ultimate pocket All-in-One (AIO) device. Packed with a 0.6 ohm stainless steelĀ U-Tech coil, the PockeX is a sub-ohm device. The PockeX has a wider drip-tip and larger top-airflow, so allowing for increased vapour production.
The Aspire PockeX Kit’s discreet size and low-profile sub-ohm vapour production makes the PockeX your must-have vape when the need to taste flavour but chuck clouds is not appropriate. Now that’s not to say clouds cannot be produced from this little stealth beast, they can, but the option is there when its really needed.
The PockeX is also compatible with PockeXĀ 1.2Ohm coils, if you prefer a mouth to lung draw.

INTRODUCTION
Hello everybody, Josh here with a review on theĀ PockeX All In One (AIO)Ā kit byĀ Aspire. I’m sure if you haven’t at least tried an Aspire product, they’re definitely a company you’ve heard of. The manufacturer have a very wide range of products within the vaping industry and cater for pretty much everyone.
With MTL vapers in mind, theĀ PockeXĀ is definitely aimed towards beginner vapers but that doesn’t mean it’s not used by seasoned vapers. It’s all about ease of use and usability throughout. But with all this said, is the PockeX still a decent device in the current trend of vaping devices or is it a blast in the past fromĀ Aspire?…

First Impressions
On first unboxing theĀ Aspire PockeXĀ you’re met with what you’d expect, theĀ pen styled kitĀ alongside the additional packaging to one side. Regarding the device there’s not much you can really do regarding shape with a pen style device. Although stating this, the brushed stainless steel is sleek and well designed with a non removable black slim lined Delrin drip tip sized similar to that of a cigarette.
With no overly complicated buttons or display, theĀ PockeXĀ has one well placed fire button which is a little rattly but nothing too off putting. The hold of the device is very comfortable and ergonomic with its round shape and does’t slip in the hand.
With a Micro USB port to the bottom of the device it’s easy to keep upright whilst charging with the weight being centred at the bottom. Obviously it would be nice with Type-C charging but this is an older device fromĀ AspireĀ so we can let them off.
Moving onto the tank, it fits perfectly with the core device with nothing protruding to create a flush design throughout with no sharp edges. The glass is clear which makes it very easy to view both your e-liquid level and the cotton in your coil so you should notice when the lifespan is coming to an end.
Delving deeper into the operation, there isn’t really much to know. Aspire have really managed to create this device to be as simple as possible and therefore a great device for beginner vapers. Simply press the fire button five times in quick succession to turn the device on and off and once to fire the device, that’s it!
Aspire have also implemented battery power indications within the fire button itself with a colour glow around the button. If the colour is blue when you press the fire button the device has over 30% power and when it’s less than 30% the colour changes to pink.
In addition to the above, the PockeXĀ also has inbuilt safety protection. Most importantly, the device has a cut off at 10 seconds, this means that you can only hold the fire button down for 10 seconds before it will stop, this is particularly useful if you haven’t turned off the device and it gets caught in your bag or pocket and overall prevents the additional possibilities of a dry hit.
The device also performs the same cut out if there are any possible short circuits which is excellent safety wise!
So with a sleek and well build device with easy to navigate controls, how does the PockeX perform?….
How It Vapes
The Aspire PockeX kit used to come with two 0.6ohm coilsĀ however to much delight, it now comes with both the 0.6ohm and the 1.2ohm coil which obviously caters for more preference. In addition this is also great forĀ beginner vapers. It’s a great start for those new to vaping to understand their preference and requirements before delving deeper into the vaping world!
To keep the review fair across the board, I tested both coils for the PockeX with one of my favourites,Ā Blue SlushyĀ by Royal Flush Vape. The 50/50 blend of PG and VG seemed the perfect choice for this kit.
1.2ohm Coil
The 1.2ohm coil is one of the latest for the Aspire PockeX, after letting the coil soak up the e-liquid, I got to testing.
The vapour production is similar to that you would be used to on a cigarette, which for beginner vapers is all you really need to be fair. Flavour wise you could fully taste the full profile of theĀ e-liquid, I got the flavour of the fruity inhale with icy finish with a decent ice exhale. The flavour wasn’t particularity warm, which I wouldn’t fully expect not only due to an icy flavour but for a 1.2ohm coil in a pen style kit.
0.6ohm Coil
The original 0.6ohm coil has been around since the start of the PockeX. Once again after letting the e-liquidĀ embed itself within the coil I began testing.
There are two noticeable differences with the 0.6ohm coil when compared to that of the 1.2ohm. Firstly the vapour is significantly warmer, which for a fruity or dessert flavour is ideal, although saying this, it didn’t make the ice flavour I was using hot it was just warmer overall.
In addition, there was definitely more vapour production with this coil, which actually creates a decent tight Direct To Lung (DTL) vape! If you’re moving forward away from cigarettes and prefer more vapour then this is the coil for you. It was for me anyway!
REFILLING THE TANK
The Aspire PockeX is a very simple device to refill:
- Unscrew and Remove Top Cap
- Add Your Favourite E-Liquid From Royal Flush Vape
- Screw Top Cap Back Onto Device
- Allow Coil to Saturate New E-Liquid
Final Thoughts
Overall the PockeX Kit by Aspire is a decent all round everyday vape device which is perfectly aimed towards beginner vapers. Although this pen shaped kitĀ is an older device, it is still a firm contender against the latest pod kitsĀ and other All In One AIO Kits. If you’re new to vaping and want a device to keep you going throughout the day without any over complicated controls then I cannot recommend the Aspire PockeXĀ enough!
